The Challenge
Swedish B2B salespeople need company data to find new customers. Existing services offer either expensive subscriptions or low-quality data with 'AI-generated' lead scores that mean nothing.
The goal was to build a platform delivering actual, verified data from government sources, not speculation. Users can filter, preview data quality, and only pay for what they actually download.
Technically this meant collecting, cross-referencing, and continuously updating data from three different sources (SCB, Bolagsverket, and company websites) for over 636,000 Swedish limited companies.
The Solution
Every company passes through five steps before entering the catalog, from raw data to verified contact info. The SCB API provides 66+ fields per company, Bolagsverket provides business descriptions and industry codes, and website detection extracts email, phone, and social media via Serper + Playwright + DeepSeek. Email verification with MX lookup and SMTP verification. Three crawl daemons run around the clock.
Users filter by region, city, industry, company type, size, and more. Each filter combination shows coverage bars indicating what share has email, phone, and website. Results are cached in Redis with 5 minutes TTL: response time under 100ms for popular queries.
Instead of subscription, users pay per company in their list: 1 SEK base + add-ons for email, phone, and website. Stripe handles checkout with automatic VAT. Exports are generated async via Celery and sent as a download link via email, valid for 7 days.
The product launched as GhostLeads.se in 2025 and migrated to BraLeads.ai in 2026 for better international appeal.
